I finally have some time to try to figure out how to put pictures in my blog. I couldn't seem to do it from my iPad and my son was hogging my laptop all week. So, here is a picture of the kiln that I am getting.
I am thinking about what my first project will be. Since I haven't run my own kiln yet and don't have a lot of supplies, I don't want anything too complicated. I ordered a piece of dark purple glass (my favorite color) but when it arrived, I noticed that the online reviews were accurate that it almost appears black. If you hold it up to the light, you can see the color better. So, I think my first project will be a suncatcher using that glass and some that I will purchase in the next few days. I need to buy some more glass so that I have enough projects to fill the kiln. Maybe two suncatchers and a few pendants? I need things for my etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/eyeseesage). A few more days until the kiln arrives!
